HBNU has carried out extensive international exchanges and cooperation, and has established long-term cooperative relations with more than 40 universities and educational and scientific research institutions in the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan and other countries. The University has been long insisting on hiring foreign teachers, well-known experts and scholars to teach and give lectures, accepting international students for either degree or non-degree study, sending teachers to other countries for further training, teaching and cooperative research, and sending students to overseas universities for further studies. At present, HBNU has co-founded with Ulster University 1 Confucius Institute, 8 Confucius Classrooms and 1 Martial Arts Center in Northern Ireland. The University has been continuously expanding the cooperation with other countries in education and the international education cooperation is developing in a good pattern.
