HBNU Holds An Promotion Meeting for Improving the Teaching Quality of the Joint Education Programme

On the morning of March 28th, HBNU held a promotion meeting for improving the teaching quality of the Joint Education Programme (the electronic information engineering major in collaboration with Fairleigh Dickinson University in the United States) in the 505 conference room of the Science and Technology Building. President Prof. Dr. Lei Rujin,Vice President , Prof. Dr. Yu Xiang, directors from departments such as the International Exchange Department, the Academic Affairs Office, and Student Affairs Office, as well as the entire leadership team and teacher representatives from the College of Physics and Electronic Science attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Yu Xiang.

At the meeting, the director from the International Exchange Department introduced the basic situation of the joint education programme. The director of the College of Physics and Electronic Science reported on the teaching operation, teaching reform, and the challenges and deficiencies from the perspective of the college. The director of the Academic Affairs Office introduced the basic situation of teaching management, the teaching management system, and the institutional framework of teaching. And then, the participants exchanged views on further improving the teaching quality of the joint programme, proposed many valuable opinions and suggestions, which are of great significance for clarifying the direction and formulating measures.

President Lei Rujin emphasized four points on improving the teaching quality of the joint education programme: First, strengthen student management and establish a good academic atmosphere. Second, continuously optimize teaching management, explore new effective teaching models, and ensure teaching quality. Third, strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, enhance the teaching capabilities of teachers, and improve the teaching level of public basic course teachers. Fourth, strengthen the coordination and cooperation among various departments to form a joint force.
