From January 11 to 12, a bunch of impressive Open Day activities were jointly and admirably held by the Confucius Institute for Northern Ireland at Ulster University (CINIUU) and Grosvenor Grammar School, including writing Chinese names, experiencing dulcimer performance, performing Sichuan Opera to change the face, making handmade dragons, and blowing ink plum blossoms. At the event, many students and parents showed great interest in the Chinese language and culture and inquired about Chinese courses offered by CI. More than 1,000 people attended the event, including Dr. Liu Yan, the Director of CINIUU, and Dr. Liu Xingchi, the Co-Director of CINIUU, as well as teacher representatives, students and their parents of Grosvenor Grammar School.
