HBNU Held the First Sino-British Educational Forum

Recently, a delegation of educators from Northern Ireland visited higher education and basic education institutions in Huangshi City. This reciprocal exchange forum was held by Hubei Normal University (HBNU) and should also gave credit to Confucius Institute for its active organization and collaboration.

On November 14, a delegation of educators from Northern Ireland arrived at HBNU, Huangshi City. The International and Exchange Department of HBNU extended a warm welcome to the visiting group. Subsequently, the delegation engaged in friendly exchanges with representatives of some universities and primary and secondary schools in Huangshi region.

 


Professor Samul Douglas, the representative of the delegation delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the delegation, briefly introduced the educational framework and model of Northern Ireland, and highlighted the external exchange and cooperation projects of the University of Ulster, hoping to establish long-term cooperative relations with Huangshi educational institutions. Representatives of educational institutions in Huangshi City also put forward diversified joint student/teacher collaborative projects, looking forward to further detailed implementation.

After the meeting, Huangshi Kangqiao Future Senior High School conducted in-depth exchanges with the Northern Ireland delegation, and initially drew up cooperation and exchange projects, planning to organize 20 students to go to Northern Ireland for two-week research and learning exchange in February next year. This project is a new starting point for educational cooperation between Yellowstone and Northern Ireland, laying a new foundation for all-round cooperation between the two places, and the people of both places will also benefit from it.
