On January 23rd, the “2025 International Student Spring Festival Cultural Experience Activity” organized by the International exchange department and International education college of Hubei Normal University, was successfully held at the Youjian Studio in Huangshi City. More than 40 international students gathered together to experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese Spring Festival culture. Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and President Lei Rujin, Vice President Yu Xiang, as well as the heads of the International exchange department and International education college, attended the event together with all staff.

Experiencing traditional New Year customs and spread Chinese culture. During the event, international students actively participated in multiple traditional cultural experience activities during the Spring Festival, including making dumplings, cutting window decorations, writing couplets, learning Tai Chi, and making rice cakes. The scene was filled with laughter and joy, and every international student was immersed in a strong ‘New Year's atmosphere’. As international students who celebrate the Spring Festival in China for the first time, this experiential activity brings them endless novelty and emotion, and also shows their strong interest in Chinese culture. They hope to pass on their blessings to their families through this form.

Building cultural bridges and jointly building a better future. President Lei pointed out that as the most important traditional festival in China, the Spring Festival not only carries the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation for five thousand years, but also serves as an important carrier for conveying emotions and wisdom. From making dumplings to pasting couplets, every detail contains good wishes for the future. President Lei stated that international students are ambassadors of cultural exchange, and through their experiences and insights, Chinese culture will be brought to a wider world. He hopes that international students can actively integrate into Chinese society, become bridges of friendship between China and foreign countries in the future, and promote international understanding and cooperation.
