Vice President Yu Xiang Leads National Conditions Education Activity for International Students at Donper Group

On the afternoon of May 22, the Enterprise and Campus Visit national conditions education activity for international students was held at Hubei Donper Electromechanical Group. Vice President Yu Xiang of Hubei Normal University, Jiang Min, Chairman of Hubei Dongper Electromechanical Group, Xu Ke, Director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, along with representatives from the School of International Education, international students, and mid-level managers of Donper Group gathered to launch the event under the theme Perceiving Huangshi’s Intelligent Manufacturing, Exchanging Ideas on Open Development. The activity focused on China’s manufacturing industry, university-enterprise cooperation, and cultural exchange.


Accompanied by Chairman Jiang Min, Yu Xiang and his delegation toured Donper Group’s corporate exhibition hall to learn about its business domains and core products. They then entered the production workshop to observe the manufacturing process of compressors. International students explored the company’s intelligent production lines, witnessing robotic precision assembly and real-time big data monitoring—a vivid example of Industry 4.0. Vice President Yu remarked that Donper Group’s development trajectory epitomizes Chinese manufacturing’s shift from catching up to leading the race. He emphasized that such immersive activities enable international students to witness the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises firsthand, deepening their understanding of China’s technological innovation, China Speed, and the transformation logic of prioritizing quality over scale in manufacturing.


During the symposium, Chairman Jiang Min warmly welcomed Vice President Yu and the delegation, introducing Donper Group’s history and operations. He invited international students to intern at Donper, encouraging them to join the Donper family. Subsequently, witnessed by Director Xu Ke, Vice President Yu awarded plaques for International Students’ National Conditions Education Base and Social Practice Base to Donper Group on behalf of Hubei Normal University. Both parties agreed to deepen collaboration in talent cultivation, scientific research, intellectual property, and cultural exchange. Leveraging the university’s diverse international student resources and Donper’s technological strengths, they aim to cultivate industrial and trade professionals for Belt and Road Initiative partner countries, contributing to cross-cultural exchange and technological sharing.


In his closing remarks, Yu Xiang encouraged the international students to integrate theory with practice, strive for excellence, and become high-caliber talents who understand and foster friendship with China. He urged them to act as bridges for international cooperation, witnessing China’s achievements while contributing to their home countries’ development, ultimately advancing the vision of a shared global community.
